This page explains how to request the deletion of your TipPal account and the personal data associated with it. TipPal is operated by TipPal Corp.
Before you start
- Withdraw any remaining balance from your TipPal wallet. Once your account is deleted we cannot process pending withdrawals.
- Deletion requests must be sent from the email address registered to the account.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to tippalcorp@gmail.com from the email address registered in your TipPal account.
- Use the subject line: “Delete my account”.
- Include your TipPal username or TipPal ID in the message body.
We will confirm receipt and process your request within 30 days.
Data that is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following personal data is permanently removed:
- Profile information: name, username, phone number, profile photo
- Email address and login credentials
- Device identifiers and push notification tokens
- Saved payment methods and cashout destinations
- Collect PIN
Data that is retained
Certain data must be retained even after account deletion to comply with legal obligations:
- Transaction records and identity verification (KYC) information are retained for 5 years after account closure, as required by U.S. anti-money laundering regulations under the Bank Secrecy Act (31 U.S.C. § 5311 et seq.) and its implementing regulations (31 C.F.R. Chapter X).
- Retained data is stored solely for legal and regulatory compliance and is not used for any other purpose.
- Some data is held by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc., under its own retention obligations.
